After looking all over for the perfect dog bed for our spoiled, older, arthritic Lab, I found this bed. The price is very reasonable and the pad is VERY thick and cushioning for his old joints!

This is the best dog bed that I have ever owned. I have purchased many, very expensive dog beds from that big mail-order company in Freeport. But those mattresses were flat,torn and non-supportive in a short time.This bed is very firm, will keep your pet up, off of the floor, and provide firm (but comfy) support for those with sore joints, as well as preventing your younger dogs from acquiring joint problems .
I highly recommend the high-quality of this item, it is well-priced when compared with the quality that it offers.

We had always purchased pet beds locally at Sam’s Club, PetSmart, and tried to stay under $50…which is a hard thing to do. The results were always the same. Flat after a few weeks, lumpy, and nothing near what this pet bed is. We were amazed when we took it out of the box! Super thick, a soft cover, and so cozy. Big enough for my 75 lb husky mix and my 15 lb terrier to enjoy together! We plan on purchasing more of these for other rooms in the house. The price for this quality of bed is unbelievable.

Paws down, the best dog bed available for large and/or arthritic dogs by afraydknot (St. Louis, Mo. USA)
Over the years, I bought a succession of foam dog beds for my 100-lb dog, Zeus. As he got older, the beds got more expensive, as I was buying specialty orthopedic foam beds to help combat his arthritis and age. When Zeus turned 12, and his current foam bed flattened, I finally decided to buy the Pet Goods 157 PetCare SSS OrthoCare 35-by-45-by-8-Inch Coil Spring Bed. After paying about 50-60 dollars apiece for his foam beds, the PetCare bed was more expensive than his other beds, and I had avoided buying it for that reason.
I’m an idiot.
The PetCare bed is, hands and paws down, the best dog bed I’ve ever bought. Though I’ve bought some nice foam beds, foam inevitably squashed down under my dog’s weight, and had to be replaced every 2-6 months. After 6 months, the PetCare bed is showing no signs of aging whatsoever, even after my three-year-old nephew decided it would be fun to use as a trampoline.The coil spring system provides the best support of any dog bed I’ve ever bought, as well. It offers firm support, distributed evenly across the bed, and it doesn’t sag in the middle like other beds do over time. It’s really a small, firm mattress for your dog; it’s as nice as most “human” coil spring mattresses, only smaller.
In short, when I think of the hundreds of dollars I spent on numerous foam beds, I want to kick myself. If I’d just invested in this bed from the start, I would have saved myself time and money, and given my dog the best bed possible, from the outset.
Be smarter than I was: don’t be put off by the price of this bed. It’s a one-time investment, and money well spent for your dog’s comfort, health, and overall well-being.

I bought this bed for my 8 year old Lab mix who is starting to get arthritic in the hind legs. I am very surprised how thick and cushiony the bed is, almost like a mattress. I would reccomend this bed for any large dog (mine is 130lbs) that needs some extra cushion when getting up and down from a dog bed.
